- Joan McWilliams is an
artist and crafter whose work ranges from whimsical to realistic.
Her favorite
- media for her fine art are pencil drawing, painting
with acrylics on canvas, and soft pastel drawing.
- Her lighthearted,
whimsical designs can be found on painted tiles, trinket boxes,
framed paintings,
- note cards, and more. Her working and teaching
studio/gallery reflects the happiness she enjoys while
- lovingly
designing and creating special work for the enjoyment of others. The
classes given are for the
- beginner to the experienced person, and
are designed to be totally non-intimidating, and to allow freedom
- of
artistic expression for all who attend.
- Joan studied art at
Washington College under Professor/Artist Susan Tessem. Joan has
shown her work
- at the Love Point Café and Kent Island Federation of
Arts (both in historic Stevensville, Maryland),
- Washington College
(Chestertown, Maryland), Bay Country Crafters (Millersville,
Maryland) and various
- other venues. Her work can also be found at
“my little studio” in historic downtown Stevensville, Maryland.
